Going on Hiatus

Halbrook Technologies has been a contributor to the PostNuke Content Management System for many years. We have produced several modules, some of which have been rendered obsolete because their core features have been added to the system (pnGroups functionality will be in .8). PrayerPost has been a valuable tool to many organizations, and we have done numerous PostNuke installations, upgrades and configurations over the years.

At this time, we will be putting a hold on all developments, will not be taking any more development requests, and other than existing clients, we will not be accepting anymore upgrade requests for a few months.

I have recently graduated from Culinary School, and I'm feeling a strong urge to utilize my technical skills, as well as my writing skills to launch several new web projects, and I need to devote as much of my time to that as possible. These new projects will be PostNuke powered, and there is a strong possibility that custom applications developed for these projects could be released to the public, likely at a fee, in the future.

If you were planing on contacting us to do work for you, we apologize for any inconvenience, but would be more than happy to recommend other qualified professionals.

Thanks to all who have supported us over the years, and we hope to be back soon.

Happy New Year

PrayerPost 1.5

Prelimenary work has begun on PrayerPost 1.5, the long over due update of our first module. Our goal with the initial betas is to produce a pnRendered module that is comprable in functionality to the existing module. To quickly accomplish this goal, we will scrap the original code base of PrayerPost and use an existing pnRenered GuestBook module as the foundation.

pnGroups - The Future

With the recent announcement that pnGroups will be added to the core Groups mdoule in .8, Halbrook Technologies is evaluating the future of the module. While it serves a valueable need at this stage of the game, once .8 comes out, it will become less so. We are contemplating scraping the module all together, forking the core groups module to add new functions to it, and creating new modules to do what was once planed as additional features to the module.
